We have an urgent requirement for  Quantity Surveyor (Post Contract)for our client based  Ras -Al- Khaimah.


 


Manage interim valuations, variations, claims, and final account settlements in line with FIDIC/JCT conditions.--MustMonitor project costs against budgets, prepare cash flow forecasts, variance analysis, and commercial status reports.--MustReview contractors’ payment applications, subcontractor accounts, and ensure compliance with contract terms--MustLiaise with project managers, consultants, and contractors while maintaining accurate contractual records and documentation.--MustJob Summary



  • The Quantity Surveyor (Post Contract) will support the Contracts & Commercial team in managing all commercial and contractual aspects of projects post-award. The role ensures accurate valuations, cost control, timely settlement of accounts, and compliance with RAKEZ procedures, reporting directly to the Head of Contracts & Commercial.


 Key Responsibilities



  • Post-Contract Administration: Administer interim payment valuations, variations, claims, and final account settlements.

  • Payment Verification: Review and verify contractors’ monthly payment applications against measured works and approved rates.

  • Contract Management: Prepare and negotiate variation orders, claims, and change requests in line with FIDIC/JCT conditions.

  • Cost Control: Monitor project costs against budgets, prepare cash flow forecasts, variance analysis, and cost reports.

  • Claims & Valuation: Assess and settle contractor claims for EOT, loss/expense, and disruption; conduct measurement and valuation of works per BOQ/Schedule of Rates.

  • Subcontractor Accounts: Review subcontractor/supplier accounts and ensure compliance with contract terms.

  • Final Accounts: Support preparation and close-out of final accounts.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with Project Managers, Consultants, and Contractors on commercial matters.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate contractual records, correspondence, and ensure compliance with RAKEZ procurement procedures.

  • Risk Management: Identify commercial risks and propose mitigation measures.

  • Reporting: Prepare cost reports, variance analysis, and commercial status reports for management.

  • Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.

  • 8–10 years’ post-contract QS experience in construction/infrastructure projects.

  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).

  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC/JCT contract conditions and commercial management software.

  • Strong technical expertise, presentation skills, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
