Job Description - Real Estate Accountant

Job Title – Real Estate Accountant
Location: Dubai, UAE

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Accountant to manage financial operations within a dynamic real estate environment. The role involves handling property-related accounting, financial reporting, and compliance while ensuring accuracy in transactions and supporting business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial ManagementMaintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.Handle day-to-day accounting transactions related to real estate operations.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all financial activities.
Property AccountingManage accounting for property portfolios, including rental income, service charges, and expenses.Track receivables and payables related to tenants, landlords, and vendors.Reconcile property accounts and ensure accurate allocation of costs.Monitor lease agreements and ensure financial compliance.
Accounts Payable & ReceivableProcess vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding receivables.Prepare payment schedules and maintain vendor records.Handle client billing and invoicing processes.
Financial Reporting & AnalysisPrepare financial reports and provide insights to management. Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.Assist in preparing reports for investors and stakeholders.
Compliance & Audit SupportEnsure compliance with UAE accounting standards and regulations.Assist in VAT filing, documentation, and reconciliations.Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.Maintain financial controls and ensure adherence to policies.
Coordination & SupportCoordinate with property management, leasing, and finance teams.Assist in payroll and expense reimbursements if required.Maintain organized financial records for audits and reporting.Support finance-related administrative tasks.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–6 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the real estate sector.Knowledge of property accounting, VAT regulations, and financial reporting is preferred.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reportingExperience in real estate or property accountingAttention to detail and high level of accuracyProficiency in accounting software and MS ExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and organizational abilities
