Refrigeration Engineer

This position is based in Ireland.

Designs, installs, maintains, and repairs complex refrigeration systems for various applications, including industrial facilities, food processing plants, cold storage warehouses, and commercial establishments. Optimizes system performance, ensures energy efficiency, and adheres to safety and environmental regulations. (This role is often more design/project-focused than a technician).

Key Duties:

• Design, specify, and oversee the installation of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
• Commission new refrigeration equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and fault-finding on complex refrigeration units.
• Perform preventative maintenance on large-scale systems (e.g., in food processing, cold storage).
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for refrigerants (e.g., F-Gas).
• Manage projects and potentially lead teams of technicians.
