Refrigeration Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and equipment. The role involves ensuring that all refrigeration units operate efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime, and providing technical support to maintain temperature-controlled environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and repair refrigeration systems, cold rooms, chillers, and freezers.
  




• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment operates at optimal efficiency.
  




• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot breakdowns, and carry out corrective repairs.
  




• Test systems for leaks, calibrate controls, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  




• Replace defective components such as compressors, motors, and valves.
  




• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  




• Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts inventory.
  




• Respond to emergency service calls and minimize equipment downtime.
  




• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to support plant operations.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic or Technician.
  




• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC, and cooling technologies.
  




• Ability to use diagnostic tools, gauges, and repair equipment.
  




• Understanding of refrigerants, pressure systems, and environmental safety regulations.
  




• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  




• Physical ability to handle manual tasks and work in temperature-controlled environments.
  




• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duty when required.
