Job Description - Regional Sales Manager - North Gulf

TheStrategy Manager will focuson:

  • BusinessDevelopment: Competitiveanalysis.
  • StrategicPlanning: Annual business planning, business case development, andgo-to-marketstrategies.

Responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Carryout research and analysis independently in support of businessunits, including company strategies, strategic planning process,and key operationalissues.
  • Consistentlyprovide insights on business implications of the research andanalysis.
  • Drawup implementation strategies toward achieving the settarget
  • Activelyengage in research of growing trends in the distribution industryand suggest ways of introducing positivestrategy
  • Workindependently, sometimes receiving general instruction onday-to-day work, and general instructions on new assignments with afocus on tasks and self-contained workstreams.
  • Independentlyinteract and collaborate with allstakeholders.
  • Providedirection for competitor analysis to ensure that analysis isaligned with corporate strategy and outputs areinsightful.
  • Assesstrends; Work with senior leaders and their teams across theenterprise to develop a robustprocess.
  • Identify and evaluate long-term strategic investments,opportunities, businesses, and alliances.
Otherkey responsibilitiesinclude:
  • StrategyDefinition: The Strategy Manager is tasked with bringing togethercrucial pieces of information such as competitor performance,operational performance, innovations, markets, etc., from variousinternal and external sources to develop strategicoptions.
  • StrategicPlanning: The Strategy Manager isresponsible for the development of a decentralized activityplanning process and ensuring its adoption across the businesses.He manages the development of corporate plans and budgets byplaying a lead role in all the planning and budgeting activitiesperformed by the business and establishes and reviews key strategicpriorities and translates them into actionable and quantitativeplans.
  • Supportsthe strategic planning process to ensure that this process istimely, focused, and value-adding. He also ensures that thestrategic planning process highlights existing business issues,making certain that these issues are thoughtfully addressed by thelaid-outplans.
  • Responsiblefor the management and development of the business s KPIinfrastructure to facilitate analysis and reporting of performanceagainst plans and budgets as well as strategic objectives.
  • Managesthe development of weekly/quarterly/annual performance reports forthe business s leaders as well as facilitating cross-functionalperformance reviews for thisleadership.
  • Supportsthe maintenance of an effective strategy department inclusive ofmanagement, coaching, and development of strategic managementpersonnel and identifying and advising on areas for enhancement andfocus.
  • Taskedwith the development of strategic threat identification andevaluation processes as well as overseeing their adoption acrossthe business. He develops different possible scenarios for themitigation of possible risks and provides recommendations for themanagement of thesescenarios.
  • Responsiblefor the development of strategic risk reports for the seniorstrategy management as well as the business s topleadership.
  • Playsthe role of a strategy coach to all departmental leadership withinthe business, providing much-needed support in the formulation ofindividual department strategies. Owns strategic plans and ensurescompliance with thesestrategies.
  • Review,manage, and analyze existing business strategies to provide counselto the business s leadership and ensure alignment with the businesss overall strategy. Also, assists departmental leaders and managersin driving and optimizing the improvement of key value levers thatwill give the business a sustainable competitiveadvantage.
  • Manageanalyses that will provide valuable bench marking for management aswell as timely insights into various departments. He will analyzelong-term market trends to provide recommendations to leadershipand management across the business regarding business developmentopportunities, inclusive of acquisition and disposalstrategies.
  • Routinelywork with the business s senior executives in setting the visionand agenda of the business and work with the day-to-day planningteams in developing a clear roadmap that will realize the businesss vision and also work with the business clients to realize realbusiness issues and develop a strategy for the business s directionfrom the gatheredinsights.
  • Supportsand leads a variety of strategic efforts inclusive of playing apivotal role in building annual/long-term strategicplans.
  • Responsiblefor developing and overseeing the business s corporate strategiesto support growth objectives while strengthening the business coreto develop and maintain a competitiveadvantage.


Requirements

  • Minimum10 years of working experience with 5 years in a Strategicrole.
  • Associatemembership of any of the accounting professional bodies (ICAN,ACCA, CIB, N, etc.) is an addedadvantage.
  • Interestedcandidates must have experience in research and strategy in aconsulting firm, FMCG or Distributionsector.
  • Businessstrategy analysis & planning andBusiness & competitiveresearchskills.
