Job Description - Research Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participating in business development efforts ranging from prospecting to preparation of sales materials and proposals with special focus on private sector
  • Select and offer the proper research methodology and data analysis to the client
  • Preparing of the development of client-ready deliverables by actively leading the project team and presenting deliverables to the client
  • Taking on full ownership of a work stream within a large project or the leadership of the project as a whole; depending on the size of the engagement
  • Overall Project Management of all the assigned projects, including but not limited to, as below:
  1. Developing & managing the project plan
  2. Managing the project activities, resources, and budget
  3. Delivering the project within deadlines as per client satisfaction
  4. Ensuring the fully executed contract with client is in place before commissioning the project
  5. Ensuring all invoices are issued on time as per the contract or agreed invoicing schedule
  6. Ensuring all payments are received on time
  7. Release/Completion Letter (by whatever name called) obtained from the client
  8. Ensuring the Performance Bond is released by the client on time, if applicable
  • Developing proposal (financial and technical) for market research studies
  • Development of conclusions and actionable recommendations
  • Project management, under select circumstances
  • Participation in client meetings and client interaction
  • Contribute towards development of coherent and concise deliverables for the project
  • Structuring the project framework and defining specific methodologies to be used to solve business challenges within the context of the project
  • Actively managing the client relationship partner during the project
  • Leading the project team by ensuring quality and on-time delivery
  • Leading the design of applicable solutions for the business problems identified during the project
  • Producing recommendations that result from client interviews, data gathering and analysis

Authorities

  • Will be involved in all decisions of Market Research Department

Interfaces with

  • Project Team
  • External Clients and Suppliers

Accountabilities

  • Project Management as mentioned above in the Roles & Responsibilities
  • For business development
  • For project framework
  • To uphold client confidentiality

Minimum competency required to hold the position

Academic qualification :

  • Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree

Relevant experience:

  • At least 7 to 10 years previously working as a Research Manager

with a proven record of sales targets achieved

Job Referrals:

  • At least two referrals

Relevant trainings:

  • Use of MS applications
  • Communication skills

Skills (Wherever required) :

  • Presentation skills
  • Good Communication skills
  • Fluent in English & Arabic (Reading & Writing)
  • Computer Skills
  • Business Development
