Job Description:

Resident Engineer (Parks & Landscape)

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to plan, schedule, supervise, and exercise administrative authority over all field of engineering work in the project.
 

What You'll Be Doing:

• Act as the Engineer’s delegated representative during construction and interface directly with the Contractor.

• Lead day-to-day construction supervision across parks/landscape and associated civil & infrastructure works.

• Monitor site activities, quality, progress, and compliance; issue instructions to correct non-conformances.

• Coordinate with Client, designers, authorities, and stakeholders to resolve site issues and maintain progress.

• Support contract administration including variations, claims, payment recommendations, records, and reporting.

• Chair site meetings and ensure timely communication, approvals, and document control.

• Drive HSE compliance, review contractor HSE reports, and report incidents/near-misses.

• Provide technical guidance to site engineers, inspectors, and surveyors.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Architectural Engineering (or related) from a recognized institution.

• Minimum 15 years of experience in delivering infrastructure, parks, landscape/public realm, and/or roadworks (construction supervision/field engineering).

• Strong contractor management, coordination, reporting, and communication skills.

• Equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Education (required).

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Sound knowledge of authorities approval process in addition to handing over process.

• ADM or DMT approval (preferred).

• Familiarity with CAD and related engineering software.
