As a Business Development Manager - Events Proactive Sales you are responsible to monitor MICE production and adjust sales activities to achieve planned goals within your designated markets to deliver qualified leads and service existing accounts.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Proactively target and grow new and existing Groups & Events accounts, seeking out new opportunities to maximise profit.
Handle group and MICE inquiries and leads, including all communication, negotiation and contracting required.
Attending MICE exhibitions and road shows and arrange or conduct site inspections of hotel facilities.
Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities, analyzing competitors, and keeping up to date with industry trends.
Manage PVD's reactive and proactive events sales efforts.
Monitor the effective resolution of guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process by creating mechanisms to channel issues to Director of Sales & Events.
Execute exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customers and monitoring their satisfaction.
Candidate profile:
5 years' experience in a luxury environment in a luxury hotel.
Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in hotel business or any other related field.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic and a 'hunter' with an eye for detail and the ability to drive through solutions.
Should have a strong commercial orientation with broad business understanding and skills, equipped with a sharp intellect to focus on key issues with an attention to details and accuracy of information.
Flexibility to work long and irregular hours, weekends, and evenings.
Able to negotiate, organize, delegate & work under pressure.
Ability to create power point, Virtual training presentations.
