Job Description - Sales Operations Business Manager

Position Overview

Beyond Limits is seeking a detailed oriented Sales Operations/Business Manager to provide direct support to our GM of EMEA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to blend a positive attitude, flexibility, discretion and command while managing multiple priorities including supporting sales operations and managing the executive’s day-to-day activities. These activities may include standing in for the executive for internal meetings, preparing written communication, monthly sales reports, State Of the Business reports, expense reports, meeting setup and notes, and telephone coverage. Strong attention to detail is a must.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with EMEA GM to provide insights, evaluate strategic opportunities, recommend tactical short-term and long-term goals, pinpoint revenue blockers and enhance productivity for a global Sales organization
  • Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company and represent the region or Sales Operations in complex cross-functional / leadership discussions
  • Establish and support a unified go to market strategy in international expansion markets
  • Establish and embed critical metrics to guide the team’s behaviors and evaluate progress
  • Surface cross sell and upsell opportunities to the Sales team, evaluate impact and adapt if needed
  • Develop data-driven resourcing strategies, inclusive of aligning team structure and responsibilities to the team’s strategy and operating model
  • Identify areas of market opportunity and gaps to prioritize customer segments accordingly
  • In partnership with International Sales Leadership develop and drive forward-looking commercial plans
  • Manage and maintain executive schedules, including scheduling travel and conferences, making appointments, and making changes to appointments
  • Answering and directing calls to appropriate executives and parties, taking messages
  • Prepare executive responses to routine memos, letters, or correspondence
  • Monitor and keep track of our executive’s needs with regards to desk time, must-attend meetings, preferred communication channel
  • Perform as a proactive member of the team while supporting our executives and contribute ideas for continuous improvement and providing back-up support to the other administrative staff as appropriate
  • Act as support to other departments, requiring a strict attention to detail, the ability to multitask and stay organized
  • Work closely with Executive on planning and strategy for operation sales management, sales review, finance, and exec presentations to corporate leadership.
  •   Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years experience working in Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Sales Operations, related field, or in a media/advertising-related field
  • Strong proficiency in excel with demonstrated experience in building excel models to solve business problems end-to-end
  • Best-in-class partnership with Sales and cross-functional teams, including an ability to navigate complex discussions, challenge stakeholders respectfully and manage disagreement effectively
  • Ability to build relationship with key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, proven stakeholder management skills
  • Experience approaching problems using a structured, analytical mindset, providing practical business insights from data, with strong commercial/business acumen
  • Ability to launch and drive org-wide adoption of changes to strategy and operational processes
  • Proficiency in developing clear and compelling recommendations with follow through on execution once recommendations are adopted
  • Demonstrated experience learning quickly and being intellectually curious
  • Experienced in supporting a C-Level executive
  • Demonstrated strong organization skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to appropriately respond to and resolve issues with little direction
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills, orderly and detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple work streams simultaneously, prioritize work and accurately and efficiently archive documents and work products
  • Anticipate needs, take initiative, proactively problem-solve using sound judgment and handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to step in many roles in a start-up environment
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Adaptable to changing priorities
  • Past experience in working with a highly technical organization a plus 
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, finance, or business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills suited for audiences ranging from customers to sales teams and business leadership
  • Ability to make judgment calls in an ambiguous environment
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and data visualization platforms
