Salon Hair Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail -oriented Salon Hair Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast -paced, client -focused salon environment. This role is ideal for an entry -level professional eager to build a foundation in the beauty and cosmetics industry. As a Salon Hair Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting licensed stylists by providing essential pre - and post -service care, maintaining salon hygiene, and ensuring a seamless experience for clients. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and passion for hair care will contribute directly to the salon’s reputation for excellence and client satisfaction. This position offers hands -on training, exposure to industry best practices, and the opportunity to grow into a full -fledged hair stylist with experience and mentorship.

*Responsibilities:* 

- Assist licensed hair stylists with client preparation, including shampooing, conditioning, and scalp treatments. 

- Perform basic blow -drying services under supervision, ensuring proper technique and client comfort. 

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, and salon areas in accordance with hygiene standards. 

- Prepare and organize hair care products, tools, and accessories for daily use. 

- Support stylists during appointments by managing towels, capes, and styling products. 

- Greet clients warmly, ensure a pleasant salon experience, and assist with check -in/check -out procedures. 

- Follow proper sanitation protocols for tools and equipment, including disinfection and storage. 

- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery. 

- Stay updated on new hair care trends, products, and techniques through training and observation. 

*Requirements:* 

- 0–1 year of relevant experience in a salon or beauty environment (internships or apprenticeships accepted). 

- Proficiency in shampooing, conditioning, and blow -drying techniques. 

- Solid understanding of basic hair care principles and product knowledge. 

- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision with a strong work ethic. 

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and client safety. 

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. 

- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a team -oriented environment. 

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and reaching. 

- Valid identification and work permit (if applicable).
