Senior Accountant

• Maintain and enforce accounting standards, internal controls, financial transactions, and accounting procedures.
  
• Coordinate accounting functions and ensure accurate and timely processing.
  
• Record journal entries, accruals, and period-end closing entries.
  
• Prepare vendor payments and bank reconciliations.
  
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
  
• Assist with annual audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
  
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and compliance issues.
  
• Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax requirements.
  
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  
• Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff.
  
• Perform other accounting duties as required or assigned.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  
• MBA or professional certification such as CPA or CA is an advantage.
  
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably with law firm experience).
  
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar Senior Accountant position.
  
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  
• Good knowledge of accounting standards and GAAP.
  
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, reconciliations, reporting, audit, and compliance.
  
• Experience with UAE and/or KSA accounting and tax requirements is an advantage.
  
• Fluent in English. Arabic is a plus.
