Role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting functions, supporting financial analysis, and maintaining accurate financial documentation while delivering high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.


• Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate accounting entries and account reconciliation


• Perform monthly and year-end closing activities.


• Review supplier invoices and ensure accurate posting


• Prepare weekly bank reconciliations


• Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies promptly • Ensure compliance with applicable IFRS or other relevant accounting standards.


• Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.


• Analyze actual financial performance against budgets.


• Prepare management reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial summaries.


• Ensure timely preparation and submission of applicable tax returns.


• Support compliance with local tax laws, VAT requirements, and corporate tax regulations, where applicable.


• Liaise with the auditor and ensure statutory filing and compliance


• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA / ACCA / CMA preferred)


• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience


• Experience working with regulated brokers CFD/Forex space is a plus


• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards


• Exposure to tax preparation and statutory compliance


• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero or similar)


• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent attention to detail


• Good communication and organizational skills
