The Senior Accounting Manager oversees all accounting operations, ensuring optimal internal controls and efficient processes for reporting and financial decision-making. This role is pivotal in transitioning to a new ERP system and automating accounting transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting Operations: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual book closings in accordance with IFRS. Coordinate audits with external and internal auditors. Ensure accurate record-keeping for accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow forecasts, project cost accounting, fixed assets, inventory, and revenue accounting.
• Budget Control: Monitor all transactions against approved budgets, flagging potential overspending and facilitating proactive financial decisions.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with insurance and local regulations.
• Tax Compliance: Maintain compliance with all tax laws, ensuring timely and accurate tax filing.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of accountants, fostering an environment of growth and efficiency.
• Resource Allocation: Manage resource allocation to ensure financial stability, including vendor and internal stakeholder management.
• Innovation in Processes: Drive the adoption of modern processes, including digital transformation and the integration of AI technologies in accounting operations.
• Cost Management: Implement strategies to reduce costs and enhance profitability, in collaboration with the CFO and department heads.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• Experience: Proven experience in a finance leadership role, with a strong background in financial management, risk management, and budgeting.
• Skills: Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems, with excellent analytical, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Language: Fluent in English, with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

Job Summary

Senior Accounts Manager oversees all accounting tasks of our company and ensures optimal internal controls and efficient processes to facilitate reporting and financial decision making. It includes the move to new ERP and automation of accounting transactions. SAM is responsible for Closing books, managing accounting teams, ensuring the books comply with relevant tax laws and providing shared services of accounting to all group entities. He will work to an established SLA with both internal and external stakeholders

Job Description

Accounting:

• Audit books externally and internally.
• Record vendor payables, receivables, and reconciliations accurately.
• Manage cash flow and forecasts.
• Control fixed assets and inventory.
• Resolve accounting issues within SLA.
• Liaise with banks.

Budget Controls:

• Ensure transactions follow budgets.
• Warn of budget overspend and provide decision-making info.
• Identify and mitigate risks, including insurance and regulatory compliance.
• Implement secure procedures for confidential info.

Tax Compliance:

• Ensure tax law compliance and timely filing of returns.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of information.

Team Supervision:

• Supervise and guide a team of accountants.

Resource Allocation:

• Allocate resources efficiently and manage cash flows.
• Manage vendors and internal stakeholders.

Automation and ERP Implementation:

• Automate accounting activities and adopt modern processes.
• Implement paperless/digital solutions, dashboards, Bots, and AI.

Cost Management:

• Recommend and implement cost-reducing solutions with SFM, CFO, and HODs.

Education & Qualification

Chartered Accountant/CPA

• Proven work experience as a Head of Finance, or similar role
• In-depth understanding of cash flow management, Vendor and customer management liaison with banks, and bookkeeping
• Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
• Proficiency in accounting software ERP
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing accounting teams
