What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead advanced security monitoring and incident response efforts within the Security Operations Centre (SOC).


• Validate and escalate incidents identified by Tier 1 SOC Analysts, ensuring rapid and accurate threat assessment.


• Analyze host-based and network-based security logs to identify trends, patterns, and potential intrusion vectors.


• Utilize tools such as Wireshark, ELK, Rekall, Ghidra, FlareVM, and other open-source solutions for in-depth investigation of logs, memory, and malware.


• Monitor SIEM alerts using platforms like Splunk and EDR solutions, tuning and developing SIEM content, reports, and dashboards.


• Conduct research, analysis, and correlation across diverse data sets to identify indications and warnings of threats.


• Provide actionable recommendations for incident handling, security monitoring, and validation of physical security controls.


• Identify and communicate weaknesses in software, hardware, and network infrastructure to stakeholders.


• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to validate network alerts and ensure effective incident response.


• Monitor external threat intelligence sources to stay ahead of emerging risks and vulnerabilities.

What We’re Looking For

• 6-8+ years of hands-on experience in SOC monitoring, threat analysis, and incident response.


• Proven ability to identify, analyze, and respond to security threats using advanced investigation tools and methodologies.


• Experience with Windows, Linux, and Unix environments, including NIDS/HIDS technologies.


• Strong understanding of SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk) and EDR solutions.


• Expertise in analyzing log files, network traffic, and malware to determine attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures.


• Ability to communicate complex security issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and a builder’s mindset — you thrive in fast-paced, high-growth security teams.


• High ethical standards, integrity, and the ability to pass all required security clearances.


• Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.


• Experience configuring, implementing, and maintaining DLP technologies is a plus.

Technical Skills & Certifications

• Security certifications such as CCNA, Network+, Security+, CISSP, CISM, GICSP, GCIH, GCIA, GRID (or equivalent).


• Proficiency with investigation tools: Wireshark, ELK, Rekall, Ghidra, FlareVM, and open-source security tools.


• Deep knowledge of SIEM (Splunk), EDR, NIDS/HIDS, and threat intelligence platforms.

Education

• BS or MS in Information Security, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

Other Requirements

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multicultural teams.


• Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills.


• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments is advantageous.
