Purpose

This role will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and analytical teams to support the development and implementation of data-driven solutions.

The Business Analyst (BA) will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand their requirements, challenges and identify opportunities for improving business process, supporting strategic decision-making through analytics. The BA will work with data engineers, data stewards, dashboard developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and analytical solutions.

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively translate business needs into technical requirements, as well as being able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to derive actionable insights and recommendations is a must.

The candidate should understand the basic concepts of dashboard design, data analytics, and have experience with data management, data warehousing, or business intelligence projects.

Key Accountabilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, data engineering, and business units to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
• Develop and maintain documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, and user guides.
• Support the testing, validation, and deployment of BI and analytics solutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and applications.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business intelligence, analytics, and data management.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance our data capabilities.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst in business intelligence and analytics projects.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, data warehousing, and business intelligence concepts.
• Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly.
• Knowledge of SQL for data querying and analysis is a plus.
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or relevant BI tools is a plus.
