Senior Business Development Manager – Oil and Gas (Trading)

This is a senior commercial position for an experienced oil and gas sales professional with a strong network among ADNOC Group companies, EPC contractors, and major industrial customers in the UAE.

The person will be responsible for developing major accounts, identifying projects and tenders, representing international manufacturers, and converting business relationships into substantial sales revenue.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Develop and expand business with ADNOC Group companies, EPC contractors, petrochemical companies, and other oil and gas customers.
  


• Use an established professional network to identify upcoming projects, tenders, shutdown requirements, maintenance needs, and supply opportunities.
  


• Introduce and promote oilfield and industrial products from international manufacturers.
  


• Build relationships with procurement teams, engineering departments, project teams, end users, and senior decision-makers.
  


• Support the registration and prequalification of the company, manufacturers, and products with customers.
  


• Work with technical, sourcing, and commercial teams to prepare proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
  


• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, commercial conditions, and supply agreements.
  


• Secure purchase orders, framework agreements, long-term contracts, and repeat business.
  


• Manage the complete sales cycle, from opportunity identification and quotation through order confirmation, delivery, invoicing, and payment collection.
  


• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide realistic revenue forecasts.
  


• Identify new manufacturers, principals, products, and market opportunities.
  


• Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, customer requirements, and upcoming oil and gas projects.
  


• Achieve a minimum monthly sales target of approximately USD 2 million.
  


• Protect the company’s commercial margins while developing sustainable customer relationships.
  

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Approximately 15–20 years of relevant sales or business development experience in the oil and gas sector.
  


• Strong and recent experience in the UAE oil and gas market.
  


• An established and active network within ADNOC Group companies and major EPC contractors.
  


• Proven experience selling oilfield equipment, industrial products, engineered products, or technical solutions.
  


• Experience representing international manufacturers or principals in the UAE or GCC.
  


• Good knowledge of ADNOC procurement processes, tenders, vendor registrations, product approvals, and prequalification requirements.
  


• Experience securing major supply contracts, purchase orders, or framework agreements.
  


• A verifiable record of personally generating significant monthly or annual sales revenue.
  


• Strong commercial negotiation, account-management, and relationship-development skills.
  


• The ability to work independently, open new accounts, and close major business opportunities.
  


• Willingness to work six days per week in Abu Dhabi.
