Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist - Private Healthcare Facility

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of ocular conditions, performing advanced surgical procedures, and mentoring junior medical staff. Your deep expertise in ophthalmology will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients and contributing to the facility’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose ocular conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating the latest advancements in ophthalmology.
• Perform complex surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, and refractive surgery.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior ophthalmologists and support staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the overall quality of patient care.
• Participate in training programs and continuing education to keep current with the latest techniques and innovations.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with healthcare standards.
• Educate patients about their eye health and available treatment options.

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of residency in Ophthalmology.
• Board certification in Ophthalmology is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a comprehensive ophthalmology practice.
• Demonstrated expertise in performing a wide range of ophthalmic surgeries.
• In-depth knowledge of eye diseases and treatment methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to foster a cooperative team environment.
• Strong communication skills for effective interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Analytical skills for diagnosing complex ophthalmic conditions.
• Dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centric care.
• Active medical license to practice as an ophthalmologist in the relevant region.
• Experience in a private healthcare setting is preferred.
