Job Description - Senior Consulting Sales Engineer - HVAC

About the Role


 


The Senior Consulting Sales Engineer – HVAC will be based in Dubai and collaborate with consulting firms, designers, and sustainability consultants across the UAE to drive the specification of Daikin HVAC Solutions for major projects in the Saudi Arabia (KSA). The successful candidate will combine strong technical HVAC expertise, consultative selling skills, and relationship management capabilities to influence design decisions and position Daikin as the preferred HVAC solution provider for high-performance and sustainable buildings.


 


How You Will Make an Impact


 


Consultant Engagement & Specification Management



  • Develop and execute a systematic consultant coverage plan targeting UAE-based consultants involved in KSA projects.

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with consulting engineers, designers, sustainability consultants, and key decision-makers.

  • Drive the consultant specification in listing Daikin in their approved vendor list.

  • Review consultant master specifications and identify opportunities to incorporate Daikin products and technologies.

  • Influence project design decisions during the concept, design, and tender stages to maximize specification opportunities.


 


Market Intelligence & Business Development



  • Conduct continuous market mapping and analysis of active consultants, project pipelines, competitor activities, and market trends.

  • Provide regular market intelligence reports and strategic recommendations to management.

  • Identify upcoming projects and engage consultants early in the design cycle to increase specification success rates.


 


Technical Support & Value Engineering



  • Prepare technical presentations, product comparisons, life-cycle cost analyses, energy efficiency studies, and value-engineering proposals.

  • Deliver technical seminars, workshops to consultants and industry stakeholders.

  • Promote Daikin's high-efficiency and sustainable HVAC solutions aligned with project requirements and green building standards.


 


What You Need to Succeed


 



  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience engaging with HVAC design consultants, consulting engineers across the UAE to drive the specification of HVAC solutions for major projects in Saudi Arabia (KSA).

  • Strong technical knowledge of Applied HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and hydronic systems.

  • Working knowledge of DX and VRV/VRF systems.

  • Proven track record in consultant engagement, specification development, and influencing design decisions at early project stages.

  • Good understanding of sustainable building design principles, energy efficiency, and green building standards.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior consultants and decision-makers.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to deliver technical presentations, seminars, and workshops to engineering consultants and industry stakeholders.

  • Valid UAE driving license and willingness to travel across the UAE and within the GCC region.
