Job Description - Senior Estimation Engineer

Description
As a Senior Estimation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our company's success. Your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate and detailed estimates for commercial kitchen projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions. You will work closely with our project management team, offering expert advice and guidance throughout the estimation process.

Responsibilities

Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and specifications for commercial kitchen and laundry projects.
Identify project requirements, scope, and client expectations.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including equipment, accessories, materials, and installation.
Obtain supplier quotations for kitchen and laundry equipment (local and international).
Prepare technical and commercial proposals within deadlines.
Ensure compliance with client specifications and standards in all submissions.
Coordinate with the design team for equipment layout verification and selection.
Liaise with procurement and suppliers to obtain the best pricing and delivery terms.
Communicate with project and sales teams for clarification of tender details and project requirements.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification meetings with clients or consultants when required.
Maintain a database of equipment pricing, suppliers, and historical project costs.
Prepare cost summaries and tender comparison sheets for management review.
Support the project handover process by providing finalized cost breakdowns and equipment lists.
Ensure proposed equipment complies with HACCP, local authority, and international standards.
Stay updated on the latest commercial kitchen and laundry equipment technologies, brands, and market trends.
Support value engineering and alternative product proposals to improve competitiveness.
Any other assignment that may be assigned to you in line with your Portfolio.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in estimation, with a focus on commercial kitchens.
In-depth knowledge of UAE construction and hospitality industry standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with a track record of guiding junior staff.
Proficiency in estimation software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel and specialized estimation programs.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Valid UAE driving license and willingness to travel within the region for site visits.
