My client is a diversified international group with operations in the UAE and overseas markets. The business is active in commodities, marine services, and logistics, delivering integrated solutions across its value chain. The organization has a strong focus on operational excellence and growth.
They are looking to hire a high-energy, commercially minded Senior Financial Co-ordinator to support the next phase of their business growth. This role is more strategic and analytical in nature rather than a traditional CFO position and will play a key role in financial planning, business decision-making, and expansion initiatives.The ideal candidate will be hands-on, driven, comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment, and able to work closely with senior stakeholders. Prior exposure to or interest in the maritime/shipping sector would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Analysis
Support senior management with financial strategy, business planning, and long-term growth initiatives
Build and maintain advanced financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
Evaluate new business opportunities, investments, joint ventures, and expansions
Provide data-driven insights to support commercial and operational decisions
Management Reporting & Performance
Prepare management reports, dashboards, and performance analysis
Track KPIs, budgets, and forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities
Present findings clearly to senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders
Corporate Finance & Transactions
Support M&A, fundraising, partnerships, or asset acquisition projects as required
Perform financial due diligence, valuations, and investment appraisals
Assist with negotiations from a financial and commercial perspective
Cross-Functional & Industry Engagement
Work closely with operations, commercial, and leadership teams
Develop a working understanding of the maritime/shipping business model, cost drivers, and market dynamics
Support strategic initiatives linked to fleet operations, logistics, or maritime-related investments (where applicable)
Candidate Profile
Experience
6–10 years of experience in financial strategy, corporate finance, M&A, transaction advisory, or strategic finance
Background from consulting, Big 4, investment banking, corporate strategy, or similar environments preferred
Experience working closely with C-suite or founders is a strong advantage
Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CFA, or equivalent is preferred
Skills & Attributes
Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills
Commercial mindset with the ability to translate numbers into strategy
High energy, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-growing, fast-paced business
Strong communication and presentation skills
Curious mindset with willingness to learn the maritime/shipping sector
Nice to Have
Previous exposure to maritime, shipping, logistics, or asset-heavy industries
Experience across international or multi-entity businesses
