Description
The Senior HSE Manager will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining a robust health, safety, and environmental (HSE) framework for construction projects. They will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE strategies, plans, and initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a culture of safety across the organization.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of HSE strategies for construction projects.
Ensure compliance with UAE and international HSE standards and regulations.
Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with construction activities.
Oversee contractor and subcontractor HSE performance and compliance.
Conduct HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and lead incident investigations.
Define and monitor HSE KPIs, reporting to project leadership and management.
Promote a proactive safety culture through training and engagement initiatives.
Work closely with project teams to integrate HSE requirements into project execution.
Ensure environmental controls and waste management practices are implemented.
Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance and embed a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HSE, Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are required.
Minimum 10 years of relevant HSE experience, with a focus on construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and risk management.
Proven experience in managing HSE teams and contractors.
Excellent communication skills in English, with Arabic as an advantage.
Ability to influence and drive behavioral change towards a proactive safety culture.
Experience in incident investigation, audits, and corrective action management.
Familiarity with emergency preparedness and crisis response strategies.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across functions.
