Job Description - Senior Manager Business Operations
The Role
The Senior Manager – Business Operations, reporting to the CEO, will take full ownership of business operations across all business units and active projects, including Telecom, ICT, Energy, Managed Services, Manpower, Auto, Civil Contracting, and other business activities. The role will drive execution, accountability, financial and commercial performance, governance, resource optimization, compliance, operational excellence, and overall business performance across a multi-vertical, multi-geography organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day business operations and project execution across all verticals, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
Monitor project progress, timelines, deliverables, client commitments, SLAs/KPIs, and risks, driving corrective actions and escalation.
Review project-wise revenue, costs, profitability, margins, budgets vs. actuals, and cost variances.
Monitor invoicing, billing documentation, receivables, and overdue payments, ensuring timely billing and collection follow-up.
Lead budget planning and cost control, identifying cost optimization, savings, and efficiency opportunities without compromising service quality.
Monitor POs/contracts, including value, utilization, available balance, expiry, renewals, and variations, ensuring commercial coverage.
Coordinate with Finance, HR, Procurement, Commercial, IT, Fleet, Administration, and other functions to resolve operational dependencies.
Manage vendors, subcontractors, and operational partners against performance, cost, quality, timelines, and contractual obligations.
Strengthen policies, SOPs, controls, and governance frameworks, ensuring contractual, legal, regulatory, Health & Safety, and organizational compliance.
Establish and monitor business and operational KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and drive accountability and timely actions.
Maintain and present a consolidated Business Operations Dashboard covering project status, revenue, invoicing, receivables, profitability, manpower utilization, budgets, client KPIs, risks, and management actions.
Lead resolution of critical business/operational issues and project risks, ensuring mitigation and timely escalation.
Support new business initiatives, tenders, project mobilization, expansion plans, resource planning, and project closure/handover.
Drive process improvement, automation, digitalization, productivity, operational excellence, and organizational capability development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations/Project Management, Finance, or related discipline; MBA/Master's preferred.
Significant senior-level experience in Business Operations, Operations Management, Project Management, or General Management, preferably managing multiple projects/business units.
Experience across Telecom, ICT, Energy, Managed Services, Manpower, Auto, Civil Contracting, or related industries preferred.
Strong commercial and financial understanding of revenue, profitability, margins, budgeting, cost control, invoicing, receivables, contracts, and POs.
Proven experience in project governance, SLA/KPI management, dashboards, risk management, manpower/resource utilization, vendor/subcontractor management, SOPs, compliance, and H&S.
