We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Podiatrist (Western Qualified ) to join our leading healthcare facility. The successful candidate will provide specialized podiatry services including assessment, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of foot and lower limb conditions. The role involves managing complex podiatric cases, supporting multidisciplinary care teams, and delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of foot, ankle, and lower limb conditions.
• Provide specialized podiatry care for patients with diabetic foot complications, musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, and chronic foot conditions.
• Perform comprehensive foot assessments including biomechanical evaluations, gait analysis, and pressure assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including wound care management, orthotic recommendations, and preventive foot care programs.
• Manage high-risk foot patients, including those with diabetes, vascular conditions, and neurological disorders.
• Provide patient education regarding foot health, prevention strategies, and long-term management of podiatric conditions.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, endocrinologists, vascular specialists, physiotherapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with infection control and healthcare standards.
• Participate in quality improvement programs, clinical audits, and departmental development initiatives.
• Support training and knowledge-sharing activities within the podiatry and allied healthcare team.
Requirements
• Valid professional registration/licensing as a Podiatrist.
• Western Qualified Podiatrist with UK HCPC Registration, Australian Board/Registration, South African Board/Registration, or equivalent internationally recognized qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as a Podiatrist, preferably within a hospital, rehabilitation center, diabetic foot clinic, or multidisciplinary healthcare facility.
• Experience managing complex foot conditions, wound care, diabetic foot management, and biomechanical disorders.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based podiatric practices and clinical guidelines.
• Excellent communication, assessment, and patient management skills.
