This is an
excellent opportunity to join Campaign Middle East's team as a
Senior Reporter. This is a role based out of Dubai, UAE, although the senior
reporter will be required to travel within the UAE and the region, when
required. The candidate will develop content for Campaign Middle East’s digital, magazine, newsletter and social media channels, in both English and
Arabic, reflecting the latest news, views, trends, challenges and key moves
across the brand, marketing, advertising, creative, media, digital, adtech,
influencer, experiential and integrated communications landscape in the Middle
East.
Key Responsibilities
- Build
close relationships with brand -side marketers and agency leaders across
the Middle East.
- Write
and publish 2 online Arabic articles per day, including one exclusive news
story per week.
- Write
and publish 2 online English articles per day, including one exclusive
news story per week.
- Write
and publish 1 exclusive feature for print magazine per quarter.
- Prepare
content for specific pages for the magazine including News and Work,
Appointments, Private View, and monthly directories.
- Copy -edit
feature articles for the monthly Campaign Middle East magazine and
the annual Saudi Report.
- Work
with the team to take online, magazine and event content across Campaign
Middle East's social media channels.
- Work
with the team to commission and edit thought leadership articles from
brand and agency leaders.
- Contribute
to the weekly wrap -up videos, Gen Z podcasts, and other video -led
initiatives for Campaign Middle East’s social media.
- Attend
on -ground industry events, activations and review campaigns for online and
print coverage.
- Head
the Campaign Middle East events team. This includes working with
the Campaign Middle East team to come up with themes, topics of
discussion, and finding the right speakers for events, as well as ensuring
seamless communications between speakers, moderators and event sponsors.
- Lead
the Campaign Middle East Breakfast Briefing events as the Master
of Ceremonies on stage.
- Ensure
the event website is updated and help the events and marketing teams with
the right social media, website and email marketing collateral from an
editorial perspective.
- Maintaining
an updated database of speakers and their expertise/specialties.
- Generate
ideas for longer -form coverage in line with key industry trends and
challenges.
- Work
closely with the editor, and the wider editorial and commercial team to
elevate the quality of content and add value to new and existing
commercial partnerships.
- Maintain
high standards of copy and adhering to group -wide compliance policies.
Benefits

least 3 -4 years of experience in reporting in English and Arabic within
the Middle East.
- Preferred:
Strong knowledge of the brand, marketing and advertising landscape, as
well as contacts and recommendations from respected leaders within the
regional industry.
- A
strong, verifiable portfolio of published content, articles and exclusives
in the Middle East.
- Proven
record of breaking news for a media organisation, as well as writing in -depth
features and analyses.
- Ability
to spot trends in market data and conduct research to identify and produce
stories.
- Track
record of ability to build network of sources to produce reports.
- Basic
knowledge of Wordpress CMS, Canva, Photoshop, InDesign and video editing
tools.
- Excellent
