Bureau Veritas Abu Dhabi Branch has been working in UAE since the 1970’s with more than 400 employees based in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be working as part of the Technical Center for Middle East Region in the Technical Risk & Safety department.

Job Opening : Immediate

Qualifications:  Bachelor or Masters in Chemical Engineering / Process Safety or equivalent

Years of Experience: 8 -15yrs of proven experience in preparing complex technical safety studies for Oil and Gas projects (Onshore & Offshore)

Field of experience:  Oil & Gas, and Petrochemical Sectors

Skills:  Strong Interpersonal Skills with good verbal & written communication in English

Project Management:  Capable to handle, lead/manage and execute Onshore and Offshore QRA and Safety Studies independently

Software Skills:  Must have proven hand on experience in the following software, as a minimum: PHAST/SAFETI, Bow-tie XP or THESIS , FLARESIM

The Senior Technical Risk & Safety Engineer will be Involved in managing and executing technical studies for various projects within the field of competencies as detailed below:

• Consequence Modeling/ Fire Risk Assessment Studies (FERA)
• Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA)
• ALARP Study
• COMAH/Safety Case Studies
• PHA/ Bow-tie Analysis (would be an advantage)
• 3D F&G Mapping Studies (would be an advantage)
• Dropped Object Studies (would be an advantage)
• Emergency Systems Survivability Analysis (ESSA) (would be an advantage)
