JOB PURPOSE:

Perform a wide range of duties relating to the electrical installation, repair, and maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery, equipment and fixtures to ensure their efficient operation at minimum downtime complying with EHS Guidelines with a focus on continuous improvement.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Experience in Gas Turbine & Steam Turbine Generator / Generator Transformer Protection systems of different Make like Areva/Siemens/Schneider/ABB/GE
  
  
  • Testing and commissioning of Power and Distribution Transformer Protection systems  
  
  
  • Experience in control circuits troubleshooting of the HV/LV Switchgear and protection
  
  
  • Experience in HV Motors Protection systems
  
  
  • Experience in 132KV/33KV Gas Insulated Switchgear
  
  
  • Experience in Power and Distribution Transformer maintenance
  
  
  • Experience in HV/LV switchgear maintenance
  
  
  • HV cables, cable differential/feeder Protection systems
  
  
  • Low Impedance Bus Bar Protection systems such as REB500, REB670 and high Impedance bus bar protection systems
  
  
  • Competent of using the secondary and primary injection test kits.
  
  
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Diploma in relevant field


• Completion of PEC Craft Training

Minimum Experience:

• 5 Years’ relevant experience in a heavy industry after Diploma


• 2 Years’ experience as an electrician after PEC Training

Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English


• Familiarity with all maintenance tools and should have good IT Skills


• Expertise in installation & troubleshooting


• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/manuals/instructions
