Senior Vice President, Direct Investments (Real Estate)

I’m currently working with an international investment platform on a senior hire within their direct investments team. The role sits at the intersection of real estate equity and credit, with a strong focus on executing transactions across the MENA region.

This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable taking ownership across the full investment lifecycle - from sourcing and underwriting through to execution and ongoing asset management. The role will also involve close interaction with internal stakeholders and external partners, contributing to investment strategy and portfolio performance.

Key areas of focus include:

1. Evaluating and executing asset-backed investment opportunities across equity and debt
2. Leading financial analysis, structuring, and due diligence processes
3. Managing relationships with lenders, partners, and market intermediaries
4. Driving investment committee materials and supporting decision-making
5. Overseeing portfolio assets, including refinancing, exits, and value creation initiatives

The ideal profile will bring:

1. Strong experience across real estate investments (credit and equity)
2. A track record of leading deal execution and transaction structuring
3. Advanced financial modelling capabilities and commercial judgement
4. Exposure to more complex capital structures, including mezzanine and structured deals
