Specialist / Consultant Clinical Pathologist

Westaffed is in search of a highly qualified Specialist/Consultant Clinical Pathologist to join our leading healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing expert diagnostic services within our clinical laboratory. Your duties will encompass evaluating laboratory tests, interpreting results, and collaborating with physicians to guide patient care decisions. You will oversee the lab operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols. Additionally, you will engage in educational activities, mentoring laboratory staff, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our clinical services. Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex laboratory test results to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
• Conduct consultations with clinicians regarding patient cases and the appropriate use of laboratory tests.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of laboratory procedures and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Lead laboratory staff, promoting professional development and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in research and clinical trials to advance the field of clinical pathology.
• Contribute to departmental policies and promote a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement.
• Stay abreast of advancements in clinical pathology and implement relevant changes to laboratory practices.

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a specialization in Pathology.
• Valid medical license to practice in the state.
• Board certification in Clinical Pathology preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a clinical pathology setting.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in laboratory diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
