Job Description - Specialist - Desktop Support


We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join one of our projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in secure, fast‑paced, and technically complex environments. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality Level 2 support, managing VDI infrastructure, and ensuring compliance within security‑controlled environments.


Objectives




  • Deliver Level 2 desktop support for end users, covering hardware, software, and basic network issues.




  • Support and manage VMware Horizon VDI environments, including provisioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.




  • Operate within secure, enterprise‑grade environments while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.




  • Maintain endpoint security through patching, system hardening, and security tool management.




  • Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalated technical issues efficiently.




  • Document incidents, procedures, and resolutions to enhance support quality and knowledge sharing.




Requirements




  • Strong background in desktop support and Windows workstation administration.




  • Experience managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls in enterprise environments.




  • Familiarity with virtual desktop technologies (VDI) and remote access tools.




  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (connectivity, DNS, DHCP, troubleshooting).




  • Experience using IT service management (ITSM) and asset management systems.




  • Knowledge of endpoint management or mobile device management (MDM) platforms.




  • Awareness of multi‑factor authentication, identity management, and security best practices.




  • Ability to work in secure or controlled environments with attention to compliance and documentation.




  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
