Specialist, Fire & Safety (Emiratised Role)

Job Description

To ensure all FAB branches/buildings are timely inspected by civil defence or any other applicable regulatory/legal authority for timely issuance of fire safety and security approvals for FAB premises.

Responsibilities

Generic Accountability

• To ensure To ensure all FAB branches/buildings are timely inspected by, civil defence or any other applicable regulatory/legal authority for timely issuance of fire safety and security approvals for FAB premises
• Specific Accountability
• To ensure all FAB premises civil defence safety certificates are renewed and updated on or before expiry dates .
• To ensure all FAB branches security system inspections and its approval from relevant police authorities are in place on or before Civil Defence expiry dates .
• Maintain an updated MIS on the Civil Defense certificates, Civil Defense monitoring systems certificate,
• To liaise with CD & other applicable regulatory body for bring up-to-date safety & security related regulation for its timely compliance .
• To ensure all payments related to CD/police is carried on time for ensuring inspections are scheduled on time .
• To reconcile the payments carried out to CD/Police with accounts team regularly to avoid any discrepancies .
• To support premise team as and when required in arranging approval /clearances from CD/Police etc. during fit out projects.
• Arranging police /CD etc. approvals for any other work not mentioned above and is necessary to obtain for functioning of bank.
• Manage the contract of Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting equipment
• Ensure the suppliers are doing regular checks for Maintenance of Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting equipment
• Ensure availability of AMC, Civil defense certificates, Civil Defense monitoring systems certificates for all new and existing locations.
• Ensure that all FAB locations are equipped with updated Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting equipment and timely maintenance of these equipment are carried out by the appointed vendor.
• Assist in raising any savings related fire & safety sub unit.
• Come up with new ideas to be implemented in the area.
• Support automation process wherever possible
• Ensure All civil defense related payments are processed through FAB Administration Department Corporate Credit Card
• Authorised to take decisions on renewals of CD /police related fire safety in consultation with premises team & any other stake holders within the bank dealing with this subject.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Knowledge of local security & safety regulations is must.
• Workable knowledge of Arabic & English language .

Minimum Experience

0 - 2 years experience in handling works with local authorities specially with police/CD etc.
