A leading private hospital in the UAE is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Pulmonologist (Australian Board) to join its multidisciplinary medical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory disorders while delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care in accordance with international clinical standards.
Diagnose, evaluate, and manage a wide range of respiratory diseases, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis, pleural diseases, and respiratory infections.
Assess and treat patients with sleep-related breathing disorders, where applicable.
Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs), spirometry, arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and other respiratory diagnostic investigations.
Conduct bronchoscopy and related pulmonary procedures, when credentialed and within the scope of practice.
Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient outcomes using evidence-based clinical guidelines.
Collaborate with intensivists, thoracic surgeons, infectious disease specialists, oncologists, cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide multidisciplinary care.
Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, smoking cessation, pulmonary rehabilitation, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide timely specialist consultation for hospitalized patients.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and international respiratory care guidelines.
Mentor junior physicians and contribute to departmental education and clinical service development where appropriate.
