Specialist Sports Medicine

We are looking for a qualified Specialist in Sports Medicine to join our growing team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to athletes and active individuals. Your focus will be on the prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries, ensuring that our clients achieve and maintain optimal performance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments and diagnoses of sports injuries.
• Design and implement customized rehabilitation plans tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, trainers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate athletes about injury prevention, health maintenance, and proper training techniques.
• Administer medical interventions such as injections and therapeutic procedures as required.
• Stay current on advancements in sports medicine research and techniques.
• Engage in community education and outreach programs relating to sports health and safety.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress updates.

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of residency training in Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Board certification in Sports Medicine is preferred.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a sports medicine environment.
• In-depth understanding of injury assessment, rehabilitation methods, and athletic training principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and team members.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
