 Job Title: Specialist Structural Engineer            

KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Client or Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi and later move to an ASIAN location for the FEED phase.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design

• Perform advanced structural analysis for offshore platforms (fixed and floating).
• Design and assess jackets, decks, modules, subsea structures, and foundations.
• Execute fatigue, strength, and dynamic analysis for offshore environments.
• Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as API, ISO, DNV, AISC, Eurocodes.

Project Execution

• Support FEED, detailed design, and execution phases of offshore projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (pipeline, naval, mechanical, fabrication).
• Provide technical input for procurement, fabrication, and installation activities.
• Participate in constructability reviews and offshore installation planning.

Analysis & Tools

• Utilize industry-standard software such as:
  • SACS / SESAM / STAAD / ANSYS / ABAQUS
• Conduct:
  • Structural integrity assessments
  • Pile and foundation design
  • Load-out, transportation, and installation analysis

Technical Leadership

• Act as subject matter expert for structural engineering in offshore projects.
• Mentor engineers and review technical deliverables.
• Support troubleshooting and provide solutions during offshore operations.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to client specifications and industry guidelines.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and risk assessments.
• Maintain high standards of safety and engineering integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Typically 10–15+ years of experience in offshore structural engineering
• Strong experience with major EPC contractors or oil & gas operators
• Professional certification (PE, CEng) preferred
