Specialist/Consultant Pediatric Surgeon

SearchPlus HR is proud to invite applications for the position of Specialist Consultant Pediatric Surgeon. In this critical role, you will provide specialized surgical interventions for infants, children, and adolescents, addressing a wide array of surgical conditions that require expert care.

As a Specialist Consultant Pediatric Surgeon, you will leverage your expertise to diagnose and treat patients with precision and compassion. You will work in a collaborative environment, partnering with pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of our young patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of pediatric patients requiring surgery.
• Order and review diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studies.
• Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including congenital defect repairs, laparoscopic surgeries, and trauma management.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
• Provide thorough pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring smooth patient recovery.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, offering support and education regarding surgical processes and care plans.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patients.
• Stay informed about advancements in pediatric surgery and participate in continuing education opportunities.

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a valid license to practice surgery.
• Completed residency in general surgery followed by fellowship training in pediatric surgery.
• Extensive experience in a range of pediatric surgical procedures.
• Strong understanding of pediatric anatomy, physiology, and surgical protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex cases.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Commitment to quality patient care and safety throughout the surgical process.
• Passion for mentoring and educating junior medical staff and trainees.
