Specialist/Consultant Podiatrist

In this role, you will provide specialized care for patients with foot and ankle conditions, enhancing their mobility and overall quality of life. You will leverage your expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of podiatric issues, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

As a Specialist Consultant Podiatrist, you will conduct thorough evaluations, create individualized treatment plans, and utilize various therapeutic approaches to address conditions such as diabetes-related foot issues, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is vital to deliver integrated care and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' foot and ankle health
• Diagnose conditions affecting the lower extremities and develop tailored treatment plans
• Perform therapeutic procedures, including physical therapy, minor surgical interventions, and orthotic fittings
• Educate patients about foot care, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments and treatments
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in podiatric care

• Medical degree with a focus on podiatry and valid state license to practice as a Specialist Consultant Podiatrist
• Completion of a recognized podiatric medicine residency program
• Extensive experience in diagnosing and treating various foot and ankle conditions
• Strong knowledge of podiatric surgical procedures and non-surgical therapies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interactions
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care and adhering to ethical standards
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training in podiatric medicine
