We are currently seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (SQL DBA) to join our team on contract rolls and work at our prestigious client location in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Key Responsibilities

  Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.

  Performance Tuning: Proactively monitor database health and optimize performance by implementing tuning strategies.

  
  


• 
  

  Backup & Recovery: Design and execute robust backup and recovery plans to safeguard business-critical data.

  
  


• 
  

  Security Management: Administer user access, roles, and permissions, ensuring compliance with security policies and industry standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and system outages.

  
  


• 
  

  Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of database architectures, configurations, and procedural guidelines.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaboration: Partner with application development and IT operations teams to support database-related initiatives and enhancements.

  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 
  

  Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA managing enterprise-scale databases.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong technical knowledge in SQL Server installation, configuration, tuning, and maintenance.

  
  


• 
  

  Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.

  
  


• 
  

  Solid understanding of backup, restore, and recovery strategies.

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience with database security management and access controls.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  
  


• 
  

  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (preferred).

  Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or SQL Server Database Administration (advantageous).

  Language: Proficiency in Arabic (preferred) along with strong English communication skills.
