Role Overview:
This role develops, implements and manages human resource programs and policies to best achieve the organization's objectives. Plans for and anticipates short- and long-term human resource needs, following current trends. Ensures current employees have skills necessary for development and future organizational requirements. Oversees implementation of human resource policies including administration of compensation and benefits programs, management of workforce diversity, maintenance of human resources information systems and partners with the General Manager to provide HR guidance to the facility.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a seasoned professional in the Human Resource Generalist discipline who works independently to interpret and explain human resources policies, assist leadership in addressing issues related to performance and recognition, and coordinates with employees regarding intermediate/complex employee relations issues. You will consult with leadership and centers of excellence to assess the organization's HR needs, and assists with Talent management and development.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work under supervision or site HR leader to communicate and implement HR programs that support the business goals and drive results
Support execution of Human Resources processes including performance management, salary planning, talent acquisition, onboarding and retention, employee relations & development, local employee related processes required within JAFZA
Partners with centers of excellence, such as Talent and Total Rewards
Support general HR administration requirements, including but not limited to:
New hire induction/processing
Leave management and tracking
LMS administration
Benefit plan renewal
Benefit enrollment
Work Day transactions
Employee Scholar Program administration
Data for monthly payroll
Assists with investigations related to human resource compliance and ethics issues, prepares documentation, and makes appropriate recommendations based on investigation findings
Provides timely, high quality and impactful employee communications to educate, motivate and engage employees
Assesses a range of issues and employs critical thinking skills to focus on and deploy creative and fiscally responsible solutions to manage costs
Contributes to continuous improvement/lean initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of human resources management
Addressing HR-related inquiries from all levels of employees
Coaching managers and employees
Participating in succession planning
Supporting diversity, recruiting and retention strategy efforts and programs, as needed
Ad hoc duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field
Working knowledge of UAE Labor Law
Experience with an HR Software System
Two years or more of relevant experience working in the Human Resources function with demonstrable skills in a variety of HR disciplines such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Employee Relations
Fluent in English; Knowledge of Arabic preferred
Ability to multi-task, and work under pressure in time-sensitive situations
Demonstrable organizational skills and project management skills
Customer oriented with strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience navigating JAFZA regulations, or similar within a Free Zone environment
Experience with Workday HR System
Master’s degree
CIPD qualification or equivalent
Experience of interpretation and application of UAE labor law
Experience in the aerospace industry, preferably in an MRO
Creative troubleshooting skills
Excellent judgment and professional maturity
