Surveyor

Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in measurements

Assist the project survey team where possible (mobilization, calibrations, execution, deliverables, and project close out)

Report all activities that will possibly affect survey operations, to the Project Surveyor / Chief Surveyor

Follow policies and procedures for effective and efficient functioning of the project survey team on site

Work closely with Survey Department to ensure that construction projects adhere to design specifications

Take active steps in the preparation, standardization and maintenance of the Survey Guidelines and Procedures

Assist during the Installation and troubleshooting of survey equipment, hardware, and software

Ensure the safety of each employee, active participation to the safety program is a condition of each employee’s employment to achieve safer working environment

This is a general view of a Job that you have been assigned for – at times you will be asked to do above/beyond the scope of this role due to Operational requirements

Be able to manage personnel with different cultural backgrounds

Familiar with best practice processes and experience in coaching subordinates through this and leading where necessary

Ability to challenge the way things are done to improve Survey Department effectively and encourage team to do the same

Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills

Required: English

Arabic and any other language is an asset

Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrography, Marine or Land Survey, Geodetic Engineering or equivalent

Certification / Membership: Additional certifications and affiliations in Survey would be beneficial

Minimum 03 year experience in a similar role and industry
