Job Description - System Administrator

Job Overview

To contribute to the success of the team and the organization in achieving the vision of Group IT by managing resources for ABH companies allowing them to optimize their ability to create value for Albatha Group. The resource shall work to support large enterprise IT ecosystem including but not limited to Active directory, Office 365, Antivirus/Antimalware, Patch Management, Unified End point Management solutions, Spam Filter, Privilege access management, DLP , Web Proxy, Hyper v, and backup administration. The resource shall be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration and monitoring of systems, hardware, and software as part of project and support activities through the effective and efficient use of systems and applications.

Key Accountabilities

Key performance area 1: Business Performance

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware such as Servers, clusters, backup library etc.
  • Install, configure, and maintain applications such as Office 365, Exchange online, Web Proxy, DLP & PAM.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Email, End point and Server security
  • Monitor logs, analyze, notify, and guide company admin on alert resolution.
  • Participate in security related activities and upgrades.
  • Provide escalation support for Office 365, Active Directory, Endpoint Security , PAM.
  • Coordinate with the group IT administrators and vendors related to implementation and support.
  • Complete the assigned tasks independently if required, coordinate with other team members/ vendors/ customers to complete the task.
  • Support the security administrator in implementing the security policies and procedures within the currently assigned projects.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly monitoring of logs generated by the servers and cloud applications.
  • Report security incidents and ensure effective resolution is provided in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accuracy and regularity of completion of internal process documentation.
  • Ensure systems are patched and updates are applied in a systemic and consistent manner by using relevant patch management solutions.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain up to date documentation of all system configurations, approvals, user manuals etc.
  • Conduct frequent end user training to boost productivity and security awareness within the organization.
  • To find efficiency in implementing Green IT practices for all IT equipment and devices across sites under scope of supervision. Review IT products and processes to improve their energy efficiency, maximize their use, minimize their carbon footprint, and meet Green IT policy requirements. This includes configuring systems policies and managing installation, maintenance, and disposal of old devices in an environmentally friend’s manner.
  • Incorporate standardization in IT infrastructure services as per IT Service Management standards and corporate best practices for all services assigned from the IT Service catalogue.
  • To implement controls required by Federal or Local Government Laws & Regulations.

Key performance area 2: Customers and Partner Relations

  • To coordinate provision of excellence customer service to all business application users while maintaining professional standards
  • To coordinate activities to respond promptly to internal customers’ request for support.
  • To ensure an open and effecting working relationship with the Process Champions within the group companies for the specific Industry
  • To maintain effective working relationships and interaction with users to ensure alignment of Group IT and Business Objectives
  • To identify and implement various initiatives to improve user satisfaction and overall usage of SAP throughout the Industry
  • To collect user feedback to improve service levels and to meet commitments to internal customers.
  • To resolve helpdesk issues as per the SLA’s
  • To collect end user training requirements from the different companies within the industry and coordinate internal and external training sessions.

Key performance area 3: People Development

  • Should be team orientated, generating a strong sense of team spirit amongst the colleagues and other supporting departments for working towards a shared vision.
  • Establish and maintain a participative and supportive team culture amongst all team members.
  • Communicate clear performance objectives and individual performance targets to all team members.
  • Assist the team in developing measurement tools to give real time information on operational performance.
  • Contribute to building a positive team spirit by empathizing with the team’s commitment to the goals and objectives.
  • Manage, motivate colleagues, train, develop the knowledge and skills of the team and ensure that procedures related to performance appraisals and employee compliance are followed.
  • Advise all levels of management on their responsibilities and accountabilities in relation to IT and ERP related topics.

Key performance area 4: Leadership/Innovation

  • To suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solution using BPM methodology
  • Keeps the management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified and actions being taken to improve the situation.
  • Ensure commitment and team progress towards the divisional and corporate mission, vision, and core values through monthly team meetings.
  • Prepare formal reports for senior management expressing an opinion on the quality of supporting systems and incorporating agreed solutions to process gaps.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in the same or similar role
  • Good knowledge and work experience of 0365, Manage Engine, Windows Servers, Hyper V, Sophos, Crowdstrike, Azure, Backup, and recovery & scripting (Bash, PowerShell), PAM.
  • Hands on experience with Manage Engine , 0365,PAM, DLP, Web Proxy.
  • Excellent trouble shooting and triaging skills.
  • Industry Specific Implementation Experience is a must.
  • Exposure to SharePoint is a major plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology (or equivalent)
  • Windows Server and Office 365 Certification Mandatory.
  • CCNA Desirable
