Tax Executive

The Tax Executive will support the Group's Tax & Compliance function by assisting in tax compliance, reporting, advisory activities, and corporate insurance administration across the Group. The role provides exposure to UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, GCC tax regulations, and insurance management while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

• Prepare and review UAE VAT returns and related reconciliations. 
• Assist in the preparation of UAE Corporate Tax computations and tax returns. 
• Support tax compliance requirements for GCC entities, including Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. 
• Maintain tax compliance calendars and ensure timely submission of statutory tax filings. 
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to the team. 
• Maintain tax registrations, deregistration's, and other statutory compliance requirements where applicable. 
• Conduct tax research and assist in preparing technical tax memorandums and advisory notes. 
• Review business transactions and contracts from a tax perspective. 
• Support business units by providing guidance on indirect and direct tax matters. 
• Assist in evaluating the tax implications of business transactions and operational activities. 
• Prepare tax reconciliations between accounting records and tax returns. 
• Maintain tax working papers, schedules, and supporting documentation. 
• Assist in preparing reports and information required by management, auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors. 
• Ensure proper maintenance and organization of tax records and documentation. 
• Support tax audits, reviews, and enquiries conducted by tax authorities. 
• Coordinate with external tax advisors during audits and compliance reviews. 
• Prepare supporting documentation and reconciliations required during tax audits. 
• Assist in implementing recommendations arising from tax audits and reviews. 
• Assist in the administration of the Group's corporate insurance portfolio, including Property, Marine, Liability, Motor, Cyber, and other insurance policies. 
• Coordinate with insurance brokers, insurers, and internal departments for policy renewals, endorsements, quotations, and documentation. 
• Maintain insurance policy schedules, renewal trackers, and related records. 
• Assist in the preparation and submission of insurance claims and coordinate with brokers, insurers, and loss adjusters throughout the claims process. 
• Support the collection and analysis of underwriting information required for policy renewals. 
• Prepare insurance summaries, claims reports, and renewal information for management. 
• Maintain proper documentation of insurance policies, claims, and correspondence. 
• Liaise with finance teams across the Group to obtain information required for tax compliance and reporting. 
• Coordinate with external tax advisors, consultants, insurance brokers, and insurers. 
• Support correspondence with tax authorities and other regulatory authorities where required. 
• Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tax and insurance activities. 

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• ACCA / CA / CPA (Qualified, Partly Qualified, or Finalist preferred). 
• 2–5 years of experience in taxation, accounting, or finance.
• Experience in UAE VAT compliance is mandatory. 
• Exposure to UAE Corporate Tax is preferred. 
• Experience in a tax advisory firm or Big 4 will be an added advantage. 
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) is an advantage. 
• Exposure to corporate insurance administration will be an added advantage.
