What does a Financial Controllerdo at Collinson?
Reporting intothe Group Financial Controller, the Financial Controller EMEA isresponsible for planning, directing and performing all technicalaccounting and other regulatory activity for the EMEA Region andsupporting the regional senior finance team as required. The rolewill be part of the Global Controllershiporganisation.
Having a dotted line to the EMEAFinance Director, the role will lead on the application of applyingGroup policy and technical accounting in respect of customer andsupplier contracts (revenue recognition, lease accounting, etc.),investment decisions including mergers and acquisitions work andother areas requiring accounting technical knowledge. It will be agreat opportunity to be at the table in the commercialdecision-making process by providing the EMEA FD and their FinanceBusiness Partners vital consultation in respect of technicalaccounting.
This role will not be responsible forany of the day-to-day transactional accounting or month endreporting processes within the region which is performed by theGlobal Finance Operations (FinOps) team. The role will lead onproviding guidance to FinOps to ensure they are applying GroupPolicy and FRS 102 accurately.
The role will beresponsible for all regulatory compliance within the region with aheavy dependency on FinOps who will produce the majority of theinformation required for the filings which will then be reviewedand approved by the role.
This role will also bethe technical financial lead on a number of group wide projectsincluding corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions,disposals, technical policy development,etc

About you
To be successful in yourapplication, you ll have experience of working within a similarrole alongside an accountancy qualification (ACCA,ACA).
This role will require strong technicalaccounting knowledge and experience creating financial statements,alongside being able to interact and engage confidently with verysenior stakeholders across multiple functions and time-zones. Inaddition, experience with UK direct and indirect tax reporting andaccounting software skills.
