Job Description - Teacher - Primary

  • Teaching andlearning:
  • To be able to teach all areas of thePrimary English National Curriculum.
  • Organisingthe classroom, learning resources and creating displays toencourage a positive learning environment and support thedevelopment of the Mamoura British Academy USP in thisarea.
  • Planning, preparing and presentinglessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range withinthe class.
  • Providing support and interventionsfor students with EAL or who have additional learningneeds.
  • Motivating pupils with enthusiastic,imaginative presentation.
  • Evidencingchildren’s work and learning in line with the MamouraBritish Academy Marking and Feedbackpolicy.
  • Being reflective of lessons taught andstudent progress, and adjusting planning, curriculum and continuousprovision to reflect this.
  • Meeting with otherprofessionals such as speech and language therapists, occupationaltherapists and educational psychologists, ifrequired.
  • Ensuring that the Mamoura BritishAcademy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attributes are beingembedded throughout the curriculum.
  • Contributeto the development of teaching and learning across the school bysharing best practice, participating in school CPD and T&Linitiatives.
  • To be able to demonstrateeffective use of technology through innovative and creative lessondelivery and continuous provision.
  • Assessmentand data:
  • Taking responsibility for theattainment and progress of a class of children to ensure that theyreach above expected expectations.
  • Meeting therequirements for the assessment and recording of pupils'development using Learning Ladders.
  • Using dataprovided by assessments to influence further planning andinterventions.
  • Providing regular feedback toparents and carers on a student’s progress at ParentTeacher Conferences and othermeetings.
