About This Opportunity


Join Ericsson and help solve complex infrastructure challenges that power global connectivity. We're seeking a Level 2 Unix/Linux Systems Specialist to lead technical operations, manage customer-facing support, and coordinate offshore teams. You'll ensure production systems meet Service Level Agreements while working with industry-leading technologies across Solaris, Linux, and cloud platforms.


What You Will Do



  • Lead technical coordination on customer sites and oversee offshore teams to maintain system performance and stability

  • Provide advanced technical support for Solaris, HP-UX, Red Hat Linux, high-availability clusters, and disaster recovery solutions

  • Participate in customer projects involving Red Hat, Oracle, Dell, HP, and other enterprise technologies

  • Advise on system integration, architecture, and solutions; support customer presentations and documentation

  • Manage customer technical requests independently and provide regular progress updates

  • Handle critical incidents, outages, and disaster recovery scenarios from inception to resolution

  • Troubleshoot operating systems, restore systems after failures, and plan recovery strategies

  • Coordinate with design teams, Level 3 support, and vendors to resolve complex technical issues

  • Develop and implement automation using Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code tools

  • Maintain system configurations, plan changes, and follow ITIL best practices


You Will Bring



  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, NFV, SDN, or cloud environments

  • Hands-on expertise managing Solaris 10/11 systems, including recovery procedures

  • Experience with SPARC/Oracle hardware, LDOM, Zones, Oracle VM, and Sun Cluster technologies

  • Proficiency with storage systems (ZFS, UFS, QFS) and enterprise storage solutions

  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6/7/8/9), HP-UX, and clustering solutions

  • Ability to work independently with customers and manage technical requests

  • Experience with ITIL processes and incident management

  • Understanding of virtualization, automation concepts, and monitoring tools

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Willingness to learn continuously with minimal supervision
