Technician - Mechanical

Job purpose

To perform Periodic Maintenance & General repairs on customer vehicles using advance diagnostic tools working on electrical, mechatronics, hydraulic, Pneumatic sub system for a wide range of Nissan & Infiniti models as per the manufacturer guidelines.

Job responsibilities

Financials

• Achieve set target for Sold Hours, Efficiency, Productivity & Overall Utilization.

Strategic Implementation

• Receive repair order from Team Leader and understand the scope of work to be performed.


• Perform PMS & GR as per scope of work using diagnostics tools and standard service procedure.


• Record additional repairs and recommendations required using E-estimate digital App and update team leader on the same.


• Manual dexterity, technical, mechanical and advanced computer skills.


• Takes ownership in all aspects of your role, working without close supervision and demonstrating effective self-management.


• Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, repair manuals and Wiring diagrams.


• Capability to follow the system of quality control inspection to prevent or correct faulty workmanship which falls below the standard.


• Keep the work area clean and maintain the condition of both personal tools and shop tools.

Customer Journey

• Ensure highest compliance to F1 standards and OEM guidelines.


• Handle customer’s vehicle with utmost care in a safely manner.

Learning & Growth

• Participate in Training Need Assessment conducted by training academy & further develop technical skills through Nissan training program.

Policies, Procedures and Corporate Governance

• Perform authorized repair as agreed and inform team leader for any further comments.


• For Warranty repairs, follow OEM guidelines and tag replaced parts with warranty tag and hand over to centralised warranty store.


• Review vehicle service history and any OEM recall campaign applicable for subject vehicle.


• Ensure compliance to Nissan Dealer Standards & Process guidelines.


• Ensure HSE protocols and requirements are strictly followed as per SOP and safety gears used at workplace (personal safety/equipment safety/customer’s vehicle etc.)

Educational Qualification

• 2-year ITI (Industrial Training Institute NCVT Certificate) / 3-year Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Work Experience

• 5 years minimum experience in Automotive Dealership with minimum 2 years as a technician.

• Physical fitness to carry out the repairs

• Able to understand English.
