Thoracic Surgeon Specialist/ Consultant

Westaffed is seeking a skilled and dedicated Thoracic Surgeon Specialist/Consultant to join our exceptional surgical team. In this critical role, you will focus on diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions affecting the thorax, including the lungs, esophagus, and mediastinum. Your expertise will be essential in performing complex thoracic surgical procedures, ranging from minimally invasive techniques to traditional surgeries. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including pulmonologists, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care and improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of thoracic surgical procedures, including lung resections, esophagectomies, and mediastinal surgeries.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including obtaining comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care to ensure optimal recovery and patient outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other specialists regarding complex thoracic cases.
• Engage in clinical research initiatives to contribute to advancements in thoracic surgery.
• Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, risks, and recovery expectations.

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with completion of a Thoracic Surgery fellowship.
• Board certification in Thoracic Surgery required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a thoracic surgical practice preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in managing a variety of thoracic surgical conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
