Job Description - Transport Operations Manager

Black & Grey HR is partnering with a Retail Organization in Abu Dhabi, UAE to hire a Transport Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing transportation, distribution, and logistics operations and also will be responsible for ensuring efficient fleet utilization, timely deliveries, cost optimization, warehouse coordination, and continuous process improvement while maintaining high service levels and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

-Manage end-to-end transportation and distribution operations.

-Optimize fleet utilization, route planning, and delivery schedules.

-Lead last-mile delivery and distribution planning.

-Monitor transport KPIs including DIFOT, TAT, fleet utilization, and transportation costs.

-Drive transport cost reduction through process improvements and vendor management.

-Coordinate with warehouses, procurement, commercial, and operations teams.

-Manage third-party logistics providers and transport contractors.

-Implement SOPs, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

-Ensure compliance with HSE, transport regulations, and quality standards.

-Lead and develop transport and logistics teams.

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.

-10+ years of experience in transport, distribution, or logistics operations.

-Strong experience in FMCG, Retail, Cold Chain, or 3PL operations.

-Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS), SAP, or ERP platforms.

-Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

-Proven experience in transport cost optimization and operational excellence
