This role is expected to lead the school with their vision and core values. The role holder is responsible for ensuring the spirit of excellence, communication & implementation of effective teaching methods through high quality education and focusing on the development of the students. Achieving academic excellence requires the school Principal work collaboratively with all members of the school staff and to communicate effectively with parents. Inherently, the position is the responsibilities for curriculum development, innovative teaching methods, extracurricular activities,
personnel management and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities;
Leadership
⢠Having a good track record â demonstrated leadership in the past in establishing school.
⢠Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
⢠Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes on a regular basis to encourage the use of a variety
of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on learning and child growth and development.
⢠Curriculum and instruction monitoring.
Compliance
⢠Oversee and ensure the schoolâs commitment to quality education and its continued improvement, with a main focus on studentsâ outcomes.
⢠Ensure the implementation of the schoolâs stated curriculum and related assessment and certification requirements in all phases.
⢠Ensure that the school is meeting the needs of all students, and groups of students, and must ensure students with special educational needs make at
least good progress in all aspects of their education and development.
⢠Ensure that the school is compliant with MOE regulations and requirements.
⢠Recruit and appoint qualified staff, including vice principal(s) and section/department heads, according to rigorous standards.
⢠Implement rigorous policies and procedures and oversee provision to ensure studentsâ health and safety at all times.
⢠Oversee and ensure all school records are updated, accurate and available to MOE upon request.
⢠Implement and adhere to current and future regulations issued by MOE and relevant authorities.
⢠Ensure the vision and mission stated in the MOE approved academic plan for the school are implemented

⢠Establish a professional rapport with students and with staff that has their respect.
⢠Display the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents and school personnel. Serve as a role
model for students, dressing professionally, demonstrating the importance and relevance of learning, accepting responsibility, and demonstrating pride

⢠Encourage all teachers to do the same. Use effective presentation skills when addressing students, staff, parents, and the community including
appropriate vocabulary and examples, clear and legible visuals and articulate and audible speech.
⢠Complete in a timely fashion all records and reports as requested by the Board.
⢠Communicate with the Board regularly about the needs, successes and general operation of the school.

School Admissions
⢠Focuses on both school reputation building and promotion of school through events/activities, seminars etc.;
⢠To handle parental seminars and orientations to promote the school;

⢠To have a good knowledge of admission process and to attract more students - increase in admissions.
