Welder

As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various components and structures of the dredger. This includes repairing and maintaining equipment, as well as fabricating new parts as needed. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are met. The position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and skilled team, working on cutting-edge dredging projects.

• Work and act according to defined policies and procedures of the Technical Services Department

• Report to charge hand or Supervisor on work done/ performance, issues and preventive maintenance requirements

• Comply with and work according to the HSE requirements

• Provide Charge Hand/Supervisor with information regarding Technical aspects and spare parts that need to be ordered

• Able to work with minimum supervision

• Capable of reading technical drawings

• Minimum knowledge of fabrication works (Structural / pipe)

• Prepare the list of items required for carrying out the job entrusted. Able to submit the report in respect of the work done

• Work in compliance with HSE regulations

• Use any equipment, protective devices or clothing required by the employer

• Tell the employer or supervisor about any known missing or defective equipment or protective device that may be dangerous

• Report any known workplace hazard or violation of the Act to the employer or supervisor

• Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the employer or by the regulations

• Technical School Certificate or an equivalent professional qualification or an equivalent professional experience

• Welding  competency certificate

• Minimum 03 years’ experience in a similar role and industry

• STCW Basic Training
