Yacht Engineer

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Yacht Engineer to join our marine department.

About the role:

The Yacht Engineer role requires a strong mechanical acumen, troubleshooting skills and the ability to maintain an immaculate engine room.
You need  to make sure all the engines and generators are working properly as well as all the other mechanical systems and equipment on board.
If something breaks or malfunctions, the engineer has to find out what’s wrong and fix it as quickly as possible.
You also have to make sure the machinery is maintained and in good working order at all times. When the yacht is in port, the engineer needs to make sure the machinery is ready to go. This includes checking the hydraulics, repairing any faults and making sure everything is properly grounded.

Responsibilities:

The yacht engineers are responsible for the following aspects of the yacht operation:
all engineering system operations and maintenance

• Mechanical
• Electrical
• Electronics & audio-visual
• Hydraulics
• Air conditioning
• Engine room safety management (ISM)
• Planned maintenance coordination (PMP)
• Scheduled checking, testing and cleaning of generators, electrical panels, electric motors, lighting fixtures, electronic circuit boards, sensors, appliances, instruments, equipment, batteries and power supplies inside the yacht.
• Regular check-up and testing of the navigational and monitoring system of the yacht.

Job Requirement:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working on modern yachts.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant course.
