zOS Storage Specialist

The Senior z/OS Storage Specialist will provide operational support and guidance to internal clients. This role is responsible for performing a wide variety of daily storage management tasks as well as providing recommendations for effective and efficient management of storage system across all mainframe disk subsystems, virtual and non-virtual tape systems, space management and Global Mirror (DR) maintenance. The individual will be part of Larger Systems Support team and will work specifically on Storage/SAN/NAS and Backup Systems.

Core Skills:
Should have solid experience of the z/OS operating system with experience of DFSMS (HSM, RMM & DSS).
Should have extensive working experience in IBM storage products including DS8700
Configure & Maintain Remote (XRC) Working experience in PPRC
Support and Maintain the IBM Flashcopy process for QA (FC & MainStar).
A good understanding of IDCAMS plus creating and managing datasets and System\User catalogs and USS Files is essential. Function requires 13+ years of relevant experience (Should not be less) in a large scale z/OS storage environment with 10+ years of relevant experience as a senior storage specialist working in a z/OS environment. Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related (Mandatory)
IBM mainframe Certified Storage Specialist (mandatory)
